It is time for the Latinas to shine!

There is no denying that Latinas are making it big in the international entertainment scene. With Eva Longoria, Jennifer Lopez and Salma Hayek carrying the torch, many more Latina artists are expected to break into the international scene adding sizzle and glam to showbiz. It is not just the sexiness that they exude that makes Latinas in-demand, they do have immense talents that are up to standards with the world’s best performers.

Due to the trend of the continuous rise of the careers of Latino artists, it won’t take long before many more Latina artists become popular outside their home countries.

Camila Sodi, a young Mexican actress, is someone to watch out for. With her sultry looks, confidence and talent, it wouldn’t come as a surprise if she actually surpasses the status of her famous aunt Thalia. She maintains, that she has no intentions of surpassing what her aunt has achieved and even said in one of her previous interviews: "It flatters me, that they compare us, but she is unique. I never would try to surpass the paper of my aunt, that is impossible.".

Still the feat really isn’t really entirely impossible. After all, audiences easily warm up to this beautiful and talented actress. She may not be aware of it, but she is clearly on the path to stardom. Surely, she’s not the only one that gets flattered when being compared to her aunt, we’re certain that Thalia is extremely proud of her niece’s achievements. In fact this year, Thalia is helping her niece record a Spanish album in Mexico. The album will be released next year and will surely earn Camila more fans.

Camila is also starring in several films that will be released internationally in 2007. The films are Ninas Mal, Deficit and El Bufalo de la Noche. Her fans are excited about Deficit because despite playing a relatively small role, it is a much-awaited drama that will help catapult Camila to stardom. The film after all is under the direction of International heartthrob Gael Garcia Bernal, known for his award-winning roles in the movie Y Tu Mama Tambien and Amores Perros.

Camila Sodi is also a big TV star in Mexico, hosting her own music video show - El Show con Camila. She is also a professional model appearing in many fashion spreads and covers of glossy magazines. Her latest photo shoot however surprised many people because she shed her wholesome image and posed for H Magazine, a popular men’s magazine in Mexico. The magazine photos however were done artistically and highlighted Camila’s sexier figure and her determination to succeed in the business by taking on more mature projects.

Aside from doing challenging and worthy projects, Camila will surely reach superstardom because of her impeccable work ethics and her truthfulness to the media and her fans.
